FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

1. HOW DO I MINE?

To start mining, you'll need two things: a mining tool and mining tool batteries. You can't mine just anywhere. Go to your race's primary portal and click on Crag Mine. Remember two key points before you start:

  • You can only mine near your race's Crag Mine portal if your race didn't win the Chip War during certain time frames (e.g., 5 AM - 12 PM, 1 PM - 7 PM, or 8 PM - 4 AM), and if you don't have a Holy Metal Scanner, which signifies your participation during the Chip War.

  • You cannot drop or trade ores; you can only sell or process them. Check that you have enough space in your inventory before leaving your character mining overnight.

2. WHY DO I NEED TO MINE?

If your character is between levels 30 and 40, you'll find that money doesn't come easily compared to level 40+ characters. HP potions will drain your money as you'll need to grind your PT (skill points) to its maximum level cap before leveling. I recommend mining when you're not busy and processing the ores in hopes of obtaining valuable talics or gems. While processing ores can be costly, you can click the dispose button to convert processed items into gold, reducing the processing costs. The prices of talics and gems vary across servers; low-populated servers have lower prices compared to crowded ones.

Prices also depend on your race's performance during Chip Wars. If your race wins frequently, allowing you to mine in the Core (x12 the normal mining speed), there will be an abundance of talics, which can drive prices down.

3. ARE THERE ELEMENTAL BULLETS AND ARROWS?

Yes, elemental bullets and arrows are available at expensive supply merchants. However, a better alternative is to craft them. A specialist with 99/99 PT ammo crafting can easily create these, so make sure to have a friend who is a specialist.

4. WHY CAN'T I FIRE MY CHAIN ROCKET?

Accretian Strikers can only fire the Chain Rocket ability while in siege mode, using a level 40 or 50 (red) siege kit.

5. HOW TO MAKE MONEY THROUGH MINING?

You can earn money by processing ores, especially when you obtain valuable talics and high-quality gems. Even if no talics or gems are produced, you can still sell, dispose of, or use the processed ores as manufacturing materials (if you're a specialist).

6. HOW DO I LEVEL MY PT PROPERLY?

Level 20+ characters should level their PT (skill points) efficiently; otherwise, it may be too late. Upon reaching level 30, you receive a promotion, enabling you to gain a maximum of 100 PT points from monsters that are 5 levels or higher than your character. Avoid leveling up too quickly before maximizing your PT.

8. HOW DO I LEVEL QUICKLY?

Leveling quickly isn't advisable if you haven't maxed out your PT for that level. However, if you still want to level up quickly, consider:

  • Joining a party with high-level characters (within a 10-level gap).

  • Completing quests, which yield good experience.

  • Using mass damage spells or weapons to defeat many monsters simultaneously.

9. WHAT IS CHIP WARS?

Chip Wars is when all three races compete for mining rights in the Core Crag Mine. The race that delivers the last hit on another race's chip is the winner. Each race has a control chip near its Crag Mine portal, which resets its HP at midnight. Chip Wars occur three times daily (5 AM, 1 PM, and 9 PM). At the end of the war, the winning race retains their chip's HP unless their own chip was destroyed. Players will receive specific messages based on the outcome (e.g., "battle lose," "battle failure," or "battle win"). The Chip Bearer must deliver the chip to the Core to extend mining time. If the winning race fails to defend the Halo Stone Keeper, the war is declared a draw.

10. WHY DO I NEED TO PROCESS ORES?

Processing ores allows you to obtain talics, gems, and crafting materials. You can dispose of processed ores for gold. Exchange your gold for your race's currency only when the tax is low for a better exchange rate.

11. WHAT ARE THE USES OF PROCESSED ORES?

Processed ores are crafting materials for specialists:

Unmanned mining tools (UMTs) free your character from manual mining but still require your character to be online. Manual mining is approximately twice as fast as using UMTs.

14. HOW DO YOU DETERMINE A MONSTER'S ELEMENTAL WEAKNESS?
